Director KoK Preschool & Kindergarten Microschool

Miss Alex has a BA in Psychology, with minors in Sociology & Biology. She has worked with children most of her life. Her background in mental health provided a wonderful backdrop to her teaching career. She comes to us with decades of experience in teaching, from preschool through adult levels, and homeschooling through every grade level. She is thrilled to be leading our school in the perfect balance of high academics and the joyful nurturing of the hearts and souls
of those under our care.
Miss Alex enjoys traveling, gardening, debate, public speaking, working out, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones, most especially her two children.

Stephanie Loi

Stephanie Loi

Teacher

Mrs. Loi has more than twenty years experience working with children in the capacity of teacher, as well as tutor. She has worked with every age group, from preschool through twelfth grade. She comes to us with a BA in children’s studies from Eastern Washington University, an AAS in childhood career from Renton Technical College, and a reaching certificate in education from her hometown in Macao. She has experience in writing and implementing IEP’s, and a background in working with children who have experienced emotional difficulties. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Thai Chinese. Mrs. Loi is mother to an adult daughter, and loves spending time with her family. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, playing badminton, yoga, and reading!

Josephine Chan

Josephine Chan

Teaching Assistant

Mrs. Chan has more than 35 years of experience working with our youngest students. She was born and raised in Hong Kong, where the highest standards in academics were held. She received government training, and has worked in both the public and private school systems. Because of her background, Mrs. Chan has a gift for communicating with a wide range of international people. She is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
She is a proud mother of an adult daughter, who is also considering becoming a teacher! Mrs. Chan enjoys playing badminton, hiking, going to the theater, and exploring different cuisine on food adventures.
